The worst thing that Adela ever did was to work as a “personal secretary” for Kenrick for five years. She gave it all away, but when the man got tired of it, she was exiled directly to the nooks and crannies. The exiled days were not a good time, but probably the god of misfortune had gone.  The young man chased backwards, the nobleman helped her in work performance, and the unseen real father was a dying billionaire. If she nodded, she would have an inheritance. Life was so … up and down........ Keep scrolling to read the sample of Haunted by My Ex-boss or download the app to read the entire series.

In the dimly lit room, the gurgling water flowed slowly down the man’s smoothly defined back.

Adela looked at the man’s back, picked up the coat on the ground, and walked out of the bathroom.

When Kenrick walked out of the bathroom, he saw a sculpture-like figure on the sofa.

Adela was not the same as five years ago. She before was like a little fool, and there was more or less cute on her. But now, she was completely a robotic girl, boring and annoying.

“What are you doing?” The man threw the towel out of his hand and hit Adela accurately. Adela came back to earth, and then she took the bathrobe and walked over. But she was very calm, as if the man’s body did not exist in front of her.

The most humble thing Adela has ever done in her life is to be a secretary for Kenrick for five years. She has spent the best five years of her youth with the identity of Kenrick’s secretary.

Kenrick’s sight was lowering down, and he firmly grasped every detail of the woman’s expression in front of him. “Aren’t you able to smile?” The man suddenly asked.

Adela lowered her head and continued to work on her own affairs. She said lightly, “As your secretary, being decent is the first element. This is what you taught me.”

The man lightly brushed her hand away: “Change someone else, and I’m tired of your poker face.”

…Tired?

She lost her entire youth, but in exchange for this word, tired.

She took a deep breath and handed over the resignation application she had prepared in advance: “Mr. Kenrick, I just want to tell you that I don’t want to do it anymore.” Adela still wanted to say a few words to express her perfunctory attitude. But the man’s angry voice has smashed over.

“Go!”

In this way, Adela was exiled to the corner place.

She always thought that she would not be able to live without Kenrick, but now, it seems that it is no different.

Adela is busy with sales and entertainment every day, running around for the money.

Two months later, At the reception, Kenrick held a wine glass and walked among the crowd, negotiating with Louis, the boss of the real estate in the same city. Suddenly, he glanced at the former secretary whom he hadn’t seen for a long time, and his eyes narrowed …

Everyone is also discerning, but they are silent.

After being seated, Louis put his arms around Adela and sat across from Kenrick, and said tentatively, “Kenrick, how much can you give me this Miss Secretary?”

The atmosphere was a little weird, and all the executives at the table looked at Kenrick’s expressions, for fear of angering this master.

Adela clutched at the handle of the chair, and her back tense unconsciously.

“Her?” Kenrick raised his eyelids and turned to look at Adela with interest, and then his thin lips lifted slightly: “She have been with me for five years, and I owe her a wedding.”

When the sound out, everyone was in an uproar.
